Why We Built ToolForge

ToolForge started from a simple frustration. As someone who regularly dealt with invoices, taxes, financial planning, and everyday calculations, I found that many useful online tools were either locked behind expensive subscriptions, filled with intrusive advertisements, or designed for users outside India. Even something as basic as creating a GST invoice or calculating the right income tax often meant signing up for an account or paying for features that should have been freely available.

I built ToolForge to solve that problem. The goal is straightforward: create fast, reliable, and completely free tools that work the way Indian freelancers, consultants, salaried professionals, and small businesses actually need them to work. Every calculator is designed with simplicity, accuracy, and privacy in mind. Instead of chasing subscriptions, our focus is on building practical tools that save time, reduce errors, and make financial decisions easier for everyone.

How We Keep Calculations Accurate

Accuracy is the foundation of every tool on ToolForge. We don't rely on assumptions or outdated formulas. Our calculators are developed and verified using official government publications and regulatory guidance wherever applicable.

For tax-related tools, we reference the Income Tax Act, including the latest tax slabs, rebate under Section 87A, surcharge provisions, and applicable cess rules. GST calculators are validated against GST Council notifications, CBIC circulars, and current GST rate schedules, including updates related to reverse charge mechanisms and the composition scheme. Payroll and employment calculations are reviewed against EPFO notifications and applicable PF and ESI rules, while financial calculators are aligned with relevant RBI guidelines wherever appropriate.

Whenever the Union Budget, GST Council, EPFO, RBI, or another relevant authority announces a regulatory change, we review and update all affected tools within 30 days to ensure they remain accurate and reliable.

Our Privacy Promise

Your financial information belongs to you, not us. That's why most ToolForge calculators work entirely inside your browser without requiring an account or login.

When you use features like GST invoice generation, seller details are stored locally in your browser to save you time on future visits. That information never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself. We do not collect sensitive financial information for marketing purposes, and we never sell your personal data to third parties.

Our goal is to provide useful tools while collecting as little information as possible. We believe privacy should be the default, not a premium feature. You can use ToolForge with confidence, knowing that your calculations remain private and under your control.

How We Sustain This

ToolForge is completely free. We sustain the platform through Google AdSense advertisements displayed on the site. We may also include affiliate recommendations for relevant software tools (clearly disclosed). We do not sell user data.
